What is a waiter robot, and what does hiring one give you?

A waiter robot, also called a food delivery robot or robot waiter, carries plates and drinks from the pass to the table on repeated routes. It does the walking so your team spends more of each shift with guests. Hutech hires the Hutech Delivery Robot (BellaBot) to hospitality venues around Manchester on a 24-month rental, so there is no large upfront purchase and the robot is maintained and supported by us throughout.

It is a support tool, not a replacement for people. Your staff still take the order, greet and serve the table and handle everything that needs human judgement. The robot simply absorbs the repetitive carrying.

What a hired waiter robot does on a shift

  • Carries food and drinks from the kitchen pass to the table on multi-tray runs.
  • Returns to the pass for the next run, so servers are not walking back and forth all night.
  • Navigates between tables and around guests, pausing for people and obstacles.
  • Works alongside your team on busy services, weekends and events.
  • Can also run the dish-collection route if you choose the Dish Collection Robot.

What is included in waiter robot hire

  • The robot, on a 24-month rental at £510/month ex VAT for the Delivery Robot.
  • Maintenance and support throughout the term. If it develops a fault, that is our problem to fix.
  • Delivery and venue setup arrangements confirmed with you before you enter an agreement.
  • A free, no-obligation demonstration on your own floor before you decide anything.

Prices exclude VAT. See the full rental price list for all three robots, or read how the rental works from demo to live service.

Hiring versus buying a waiter robot

Buying a service robot outright usually means a large upfront payment and then arranging your own servicing and repairs. Hiring spreads the cost into a fixed monthly amount, keeps maintenance and support with the supplier, and lets you see the robot working in your venue before you commit. For most independent restaurants and small groups, hire is the lower-risk way to find out whether a robot pays for itself.

Is a waiter robot right for your venue?

Robots suit venues with repeated carrying routes: a pass that is some distance from the tables, large or multi-room floors, buffets and banqueting, hotel restaurants and busy casual dining. They are less useful in very small rooms where the kitchen is a few steps from every table. The free in-venue demo is how we answer the question properly: we run the robot on your actual floor, between your actual tables.

We currently serve venues approximately within one hour’s drive of Manchester. Read more about robot hire in Manchester and Greater Manchester.

Waiter robot hire questions

How much does it cost to rent a restaurant robot in the UK?

Hutech hospitality robots rent from £490 per month excluding VAT on a 24-month term. The BellaBot Delivery robot is £510/month ex VAT, the Dish Collection robot £590/month ex VAT and the Marketing robot £490/month ex VAT. BellaBot works out at around £17 a day before VAT.

Do I have to buy the robot?

No. Hutech robots are supplied on a 24-month rental rather than a large upfront purchase. Maintenance and support are included throughout the rental term.

Which robot is right for my venue?

BellaBot runs food and drinks from the pass towards the table; the Dish Collection robot helps carry used plates back; and the Marketing robot can greet guests and present promotions. A free venue demonstration helps establish which workflow and model are suitable for your floor.

Does a restaurant delivery robot replace staff?

No. BellaBot supports repetitive food-and-drink carrying routes. Your team remains responsible for hospitality, guest care, order accuracy, safe service and the parts of the customer experience that need human judgement.

Can I see a robot working in my restaurant before deciding?

Yes. For venues within the practical Manchester-area service territory, Hutech offers a free, no-obligation demonstration on your floor so your team can assess the robot in the real layout. Submit the form with your postcode to request one.
